OHCA: The Ohio Healthcare Association
The Ohio Health Care Association is proud to represents more than 800 nursing facilities, assisted living communities and intermediate care facilities for the mentally retarded (ICF/MR). The Ohio Academy of Nursing Homes
The Academy is a Columbus-based trade association representing the interests of the long-term care industry. The Academy's membership includes nearly 230 licensed Ohio facilities representing approximately 23,000 beds. Our membership represents a true cross-section of the nursing home industry, from small sole proprietorships to larger Ohio-based multi-facility companies. Special committees of the Academy focus on skilled care, residential care (rest homes), adult care facilities and MR related issues.

Wellspring Model Homepage
Wellspring believes the key to an improved resident experience and success is collaboration and cooperation among facilities, staff empowerment, database decision-making and accountability between partner organizations for improved resident outcomes. The core charter group consisted of 11 independent not-for-profit organizations located throughout eastern Wisconsin. Their skilled nursing facilities ranged in size from 63 to 415 beds; in urban as well as rural areas.

The Green House Project

Advancing Excellence
A new coalition of groups representing healthcare providers, caregivers, medical and quality improvement experts, government agencies, consumers and others have joined together to launch a new two-year Advancing Excellence in Americaís Nursing Homes campaign. This national campaign seeks excellence in the quality of life and quality of care for the more than 1.5 million American nursing home residents by enhancing choice, strengthening workforce, and improving clinical outcomes. The campaign supporters believe that quality nursing home care should be an automatic expectation for everyone, nothing less, and are committed to working together to engage nursing homes in the goals of this campaign in order to achieve real progress in quality of care. Advancing Excellence in Americaís Nursing Homes builds on the work and goals of other initiati ves such as the Nursing Home Quality Initiative (NHQI), Quality First, and the culture change movement, bringing these initiatives (and their supporters) together to help foster continued quality improvement in nursing homes.
